The ruling dismisses the plaintiff's application for an interlocutory injunction to prevent the customs authorities from seizing or detaining his vehicle pending resolution of the case. The court found that the customs officers lawfully seized the vehicle based on their suspicion that duty had not been paid, exercising powers under section 146(1) of the Customs and Excise Act. The court emphasized the importance of preserving the status quo, which in this case was the seizure of the vehicle, and concluded that granting the injunction would disturb this legal standing. Consequently, the application was denied, and the defendants' motion to vacate the temporary injunction was granted
